Unfinished business

For reasons that I will explain in more detail later we are suspending our journey for now. We don’t know yet whether this is the end or not. We both want to finish this trip one way or another but just now it’s hard to see how that can be achieved. I will blog with more detail and background in the next few days but Gill and I both want to say a huge thank you to all who have followed us and read this blog so far.

Another landmark and hopefully not the last.

Lizard point, the most southerly in mainland Britain. Another landmark and hopefully not the last.

  1. Hi Guys,
I’m sure you will find a way to finish this trip, you have the guts and determination. Best of luck to you both.

  2. Sorry to hear that you have decided to curtail your trip. Have been reading intently and jealously of your trip. I would love to have the (sorry for the wording) balls to do what you have done.
You have to do what you think is right as it does not become a passion but a curse if you do not enjoy what you are there to achieve.
You have been places and seen things which I have could only dream. I hope you decide to finish your small bike ride as it is something which I would be eternally jealous of.
All the best for what ever you decide.
ps. If your in freck tomorrow we are going on a charity bike ride to Scorton ( 50 miles) leaving at 10 am from Ponkies. After the ride there is a hog roast and loads of bands.
If your not there I’ll understand

  4. Hi you two

OMG I was at Lizard Point yesterday, I wonder if our paths crossed. It was such a quaint little place. I wonder if our paths crossed.

I shall miss your blogs, I have been following you avidly as this is on my bucket list. However I decided it was too late to start this mid August as the days are not long enough. I only finished work two weeks ago. So, I decided to put bike on van and do it that way. However, don’t seem to have done much cycling yet. Started last Monday from Minehead and am now in Falmouth. Landsend and The Lizard have been my favourite places so far.

I totally admire what you two have done and would so like to meet you one day to chat about it. Maybe doing something like this on my own is not recommended. Unfortunately have no friends that shares my interests.

I had a serious accident on my bike four years ago early September and it is a Miracle I am back on my bike. Took over two years and am still not as confident as I was but hey ho, life goes ons.

It is so good that you both share the passion for cycling. Could picture you around Brighton as I have a flat there and it is soooo busy. Cycle paths mean nothing there.

Well done both of you and look forward to reading more of your blog đŸ™‚
